FLL Challenge Applications Open

FLL Challenge teams have a lot of fun throughout the season. Teams create robots and attachments out of LEGOs and program them to complete different missions on a 4'x8' field. Teams also work on a project where they are challenged to research a specific real-world problem relating to the season's theme and come up with a solution. At the end of the season, teams participate in a tournament where they present their robot and project solution to a panel of judges, as well as run their robot in several matches.

Applications to join a FLL Challenge team are open now through the end of May. We will be forming teams in June. Meetings will start in August and go through December. If a team qualifies for the state tournament, meetings will continue through February.

Do to the high demand, we may not be able to take all students who apply. The only way to guarantee that your student gets a spot is to volunteer to help coach a team. All teams require two coaches (no building or programming experience necessary). Coaches will attend a training session sometime in July.
